Meet the Team!
Emily Daigle
Ms. Emily Daigle is a Pre-Service educator from the state of New Jersey. She is a 2012 graduate from Phillipsburg High School. After successfully completing two years at Raritan Valley Community College, she is continuing her education at Rider University where she majors in Elementary Education and Integrated Science and Math with a Physical Science concentration double major with a middle school minor. She is very passionate about chemistry and enjoys collecting chemistry related memorabilia. When Emily is not nerd-ing out over chemistry, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys traveling, and aspires to travel to all seven continents. After graduating from Rider University, Emily hopes to teach chemistry at her alma mater.
Shannon Hellem
Ms. Shannon Hellem is a pre-service educator from New Jersey. She is a graduate of RVCC's class of Fall 2015 with a degree in Secondary Education. Shannon is continuing her education at TCNJ in both Biology and Secondary Education. When she is not studying, she is usually playing one of her many sports, watching documentaries, or spending time with friends and family. After graduating from The College of New Jersey, Shannon plans to teach in either the middle school or high school levels.

Erik Lister
Mr. Erik Lister is a pre-service educator from Basking Ridge, New Jersey. He comes from a background in business, having owned and operated a ski and snowboard shop for twelve years before deciding to go back to school to pursue his true passion: education. He first went back to school at Raritan Valley Community College to pursue a degree in Secondary Education, and then transferred to Kean University, where he is on track to graduate with a Teacher's Certification in History in the Fall of 2017. In his free time (as if there is any!), Erik enjoys running, following the Mets, and traveling to foreign countries to learn about their history and culture.

Mathew Santoro
Mr. Mathew Santoro is a pre-service educator from Ringoes, New Jersey and is currently in his sophomore year at Raritan Valley Community College. After graduating from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Mathew enlisted into the United States Marine Corps as an intelligence analyst and served one combat tour in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. History has always been a passion for Mathew, which is why he hopes to eventually become a history teacher at the high school level. In his free time, Mathew enjoys making music, spending time outdoors and traveling.

Kathryn Suk
Ms. Kathryn Suk, M. Ed. is Assistant Professor of Education at Raritan Valley Community College in Somerville, New Jersey, where she is also the Program Coordinator for the Associate of Arts in Education degree (5-12) and Coordinator for the Student Development courses for college freshmen. She is a graduate of Rider University (Bachelor of Science in Finance) and The College of New Jersey (Master of Education in Instruction). She earned her initial professional credential, New Jersey Elementary Classroom Teacher (N-8), via the Alternate Route Program offered through the New Jersey State Department of Education. She later earned a second professional certificate, Supervisor of Instruction, through the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education. She is a graduate of the Academy XVI program of Learning Forward, and she is a current Executive Board member for the National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs. Additionally, Kathy is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership at Stockton University. She was the first Higher Ed faculty member invited to participate in the national ECET2 network, and she is Co-Chair of the NJPAECET2 Convenings. Prior to becoming a Pre-Service Teacher Educator at RVCC, Kathryn taught elementary and middle school for ten years in Somerset and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey. She maintains strong P-12 ties in those counties, throughout the state, the region, the nation, and the world via an extensive Professional Learning Network via social media outlets. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her son, Joseph, her dogger, Ginger, and her entire family, particularly on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She is an avid fan of country music and enjoys line dancing, gardening, reading, and laughing.
